Jaliek’s Journey Home

“A Musical Jam for the Missing”

When:       April 5th, 2008
Location:  Carl B. Taylor Community Auditorium at Schenectady Community College

Time:         7PM

In honor of Jaliek Rainwalker, 12 year old boy missing from Greenwich, NY, we are jamming for Jaliek! Our hopes are to promote public awareness regarding Missing Persons Day in New York and generate funds towards Jaliek’s reward. April 5th, 2008, we will have the benefit for Jaliek in the Carl B. Taylor Community Auditorium at Schenectady County Community College sponsored by the Student Activities Office. The event will be a musical collaboration including musicians that have know Jaliek, and have been a part of his life. Admission is free so bring your friends! A free will love basket will be available to those that are in the position to increase Jaliek’s reward.

Note: April 6th, in 2001 Governor Pataki designated April 6th, as Missing Persons Day in New York State. The remembrance was created in partnership with Mary and Doug Lyall and their non-profit organization, the Center for Hope. The Lyall’s daughter, Suzanne, has been missing since March 2, 1998. Doug and Mary Lyall are keeping their fingers crossed that a National Missing Persons Day will also be April 6. The legislation’s future is in Bush’s hand. “Now we’re just waiting to see if the President signs it,” Mary Lyall said. “We’re pretty excited.”
