Jaliek’s Poster Traveled North

Filed under: Jaliek Rainwalker, Life in general, Missing people — Kim @ 2:48 pm

Hello everyone!  Sorry I haven’t posted in a while.  It’s been a busy month for me.

This past week, my family took a trip to Niagara Falls on Wednesday and returned yesterday.  It was nice to get away for a little while and tomorrow it’s back to the grind.  As many of you know, I have a poster of Jaliek in my car window.  So needless to say, he came along for the ride.  Many people saw the poster, you could tell by the craning of necks and pointing of fingers.  It was nice knowing that Jaliek’s face was getting exposure up the NYS Thruway.  On the way back into the US, once we were cleared to go through, the officer asked about Jaliek.  I explained his story as quickly as I could and we were on our way back home.

Jaliek will never be forgotten!

  2. Hi Steve!

Yes it did! It wasn’t Ocean City but it was still a nice get away. I really need to get to the beach though :)

  3. Kim,
Thank you for sharing this. It’s encouraging to know people are asking questions and are becoming aware or staying aware of Jaliek’s disappearance. I’m glad you had a chance to get away. Thanks for all you do.

  4. Hi Joy,

It is encouraging when people ask questions. I just read a message I had on classmates and the person who wrote saw the post I have there on Jaliek. Any opportunity to spread the word.

    Thanks for stopping by!
    Kim

  5. Kim,

It is amazing to know how many people are aware of Jaliek’s situation. My son attended the EDGE Fest. this past weekend at the Altamont Fair grounds and somone thought that he might have been Jaliek and called the police! He was questioned along with his friends and guardian. They were apologetic afterwards but, how sorry can you be when a young man is missing! ! You would rather be wrong than sorry for not doing anything that you could that might help!! Hopefully people stay aware and there soon can be some type of closure.

  6. Hi Patty,

Thank you for sharing this! It is great to hear that people are aware and not afraid to call something in if they see it. I hope your son wasn’t rattled by the questioning.
