In the news yesterday, Schenectady High School was added to the list of “persistently dangerous schools”. To me this is a reflection on the community. The fact that Schenectady has a high crime rate is nothing new. Aside from the gun violence and drug issues there is the unsolved murder of Denise Hart and the open missing person case of Lutrica Steele.
Hopefully the news of Schenectady HS will spur people to stand up for change in their community.
