This is so eerie, 3 years almost to the day. This hurricane is more powerful than Katrina, I hope the residents of New Orleans get out while they can. In the words of your mayor, Ray Nagin:
“You need to be scared,” Nagin said. “You need to be concerned, and you need to get your butts moving out of New Orleans right now. This is the storm of the century.”

The Weather Channel says Gustav is a Catagory 3 – could strengthen to a 4 but could weaken, possibly to a 2. The idiot Weather person on CNN at about 09:45 EDT on Sunday said Gustav would definitely strengthen to a 4 & possibly to a 5. KNOCK OFF THE HIPE, CNN!!

Hi Ray, Thanks for the update. I should have checked with Janice Dean before posting this morning. She said that Gustav had weakened but could get up to a cat 4 by the time it hits. And they’re not even sure where it will hit yet. Either way, I think it’s wise for people to evacuate. I would rather pack up and go and come back to no damage than stay and risk my life.
