Attention all women!

One of the things I like to do is follow crime investigations and missing person cases. is one of my favorite places to visit, I find the message boards very informative and interesting.

The major drawback to my little hobby, it’s all sad news.  It’s hard to believe that in this day and time we as women are still in the dark.  Not because we don’t have resources available but because we choose to.  After reading up on a few cases I’ve come to the conclusion that women need to wake up and smell the coffee.  If you have to tell your relatives, “if I’m ever missing or found dead, look at my husband”, then you should take that as a warning sign to get far away from him.  And to those relatives who hear things like this, take notice and speak up.  More times than not a crime like this is performed by someone close to the victim.

Also, if you’re a single woman with children be careful who you get involved with.  In today’s world you can’t take anyone at face value.  And please don’t leave your kids home alone!  I’m not talking for a half hour after school.  I mean there’s no reason for children to be left unattended all night.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

  1. Well, obviously I’m not a woman 😛 But I’d still like to comment. It’s funny how you’re talking about the news being sad. For some reason that’s been on my mind too. I’m actually working on a mini-video project for a blog entry. I wanted to cover all the major events which have occurred since I was born. But when I looked at the news archives, it was all depressing. You know like Charles Manson, MLK assassinated, Iran-Hostage Crisis, AIDS Epidemic!!!! But then I thought, there’s so many really cool things which have happened, but the media doesn’t talk about it as much. Things like, the end of the Cold War, Man on the Moon, The Personal Computer, etc. At any rate, I’m sort of rambling and off-topic. But I’d still like to pursue this project, and make it more positive; despite what the media ‘decides’ as historically significant!

  2. I totally agree with you! It seems that 90% of what you hear in the news today is about missing people and that seems to be where the mates come in to play at. Knowing that you did something to another human life is horrible. And then to have to live with it would be twice as bad.
