Prayer Request for Brave Will

leave a comment »

We have another child who needs your prayers tonight.  Brave Will is just over 3 months old and has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, AT/RT.  This is a very aggressive cancer that is highly untreatable.  He’s the cutest little guy!  Please pray for him to pull through.

You can visit his site here.

Vigil for Jaliek November 1, 2008

with 4 comments

There will be a  vigil marking the one year anniversary of Jaliek’s disappearance on the evening of Saturday, Nov 1st.  Anyone wishing to drive from Latham to Greenwich meet at the Latham Farms parking lot at 7 pm.  We will leave there with our emergency flashers on at 8 pm and drive by Red Robin Restaurant and then up the route Stephen told law enforcement he took with Jaliek.  We will drive to Greenwich and stop briefly at Hill Street and then go to Mowry Park, park our cars and quietly assemble in Mowry Park.  We will light twelve large candles (one for each month Jaliek has been missing).  People may want to bring lawn chairs and dress warmly.  If it rains we will have two canopies and there is a gazebo.  The vigil will be quiet, respectful and peaceful.  If it is cold we will provide warm cider and coffee.  Posters and photographs of Jaliek are appropriate.  At midnight we will clean up the park, blow out the candles and go home.

Life …

with 2 comments

it’s been busy lately.  Yes, I’m still here.  My days have been very busy, work has been all consuming for the past couple of months.  By the time I get home I’m mentally drained and then later in the evenings I’ve been focusing on school work.  The kids are used to their school routine now and both seem to like their new schools.  I also have a project that I’m working on when I have free time.  LOL  Free time!  You’ll hear more about that in the first quarter of next year.

I would also like to remind everyone that Jaliek is still missing, 11 months and 3 days.  The one year mark is right around the corner and still no sign of Jaliek.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
