Nothing new

There isn’t much new to report in the case of missing woman Roxanne Shah.  There was another search this week but nothing turned up.  This now makes 2 Friday’s in a row that Roxanne missed with her grandson.  Where is Roxanne?

Search may resume for missing woman at Dunes

“Authorities this week may again search the Indiana Dunes for a missing Indianapolis woman whose minivan was left in a lakefront parking lot last week.

Police in Indianapolis and at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore said today 47-year-old Roxanne Shah remains missing and they may sweep the park Wednesday if they receive no word from the registered nurse and weather conditions are favorable, said Lynda Lancaster, spokeswoman for the national lakeshore.”

Roxanne Shah …missing for one week today

leave a comment »

Roxanne Shah has been missing for one week today.  Her van was found last Monday evening at the Dunes park along with a note stating that she was having mechanical problems with the van.  A video from the park show a woman walking from the van, there are tracks that lead away from the van but there is no indication that this is Roxanne.

Once notified by the police her husband, Anthony Vivaldi, found a note from Roxanne stating that she needed some time to clear her head.  He wasn’t too concerned because she has been known to do this before.  He did state that he would be worried if she didn’t return by Friday because they took their grandson on Friday’s and he knows Roxanne wouldn’t miss time with her grandson.

This article, dated Friday, Feb. 11th,quotes Vivaldi as saying; “I’m hoping that maybe she’s just embarrassed by all the attention and was too embarrassed to pick up her car,” Vivaldi said. “I don’t know what I’ll do if I don’t hear from her tonight.”  Friday has come and gone with no word from Roxanne.  So now what?  I haven’t been able to find anything new in the news about Roxanne.  What is her husband doing now?  Is anyone planning to continue the search for Roxanne?

This case is a strange one because on one hand you have a woman who has been reported as taking time for herself in the past, there’s a note stating that she left and would be back, there’s video that could be her leaving her car.  But on the other hand …we don’t know when she was last seen in person, we don’t know for sure if that was her in the video and it’s past the time when she said she would return.

Roxanne Shah ~ Missing Since 02/07/11 ~ Indianapolis, IN

with 3 comments

A search today at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore did not end with finding Roxanne Shah.  Tracks were found leading away from her broken down van to the shelf ice along the lakeshore.  The tracks ended there, no return tracks back to the van, no holes in the ice indicating someone fell in …nothing.

So where is Roxanne?

It was reported that her husband, Anthony Vivaldi, found a note written by Roxanne that stated she was going to take some time to herself to clear her head.  When I first read this I assumed that he found it early in the day on Monday but according to this article he didn’t find the note until AFTER police came to his house to tell him they found her car.  So he didn’t know his wife was missing up until this point?

From the same article …”Shah has taken spontaneous trips several times during the couple’s 13 years together, leaving a note and shutting off her cell phone to “go incognito” for days at a time, Vivaldi said.”.   I’m not sure what to make of this.  Is it true?  Can someone other than her husband back this statement up?  And still bothering me …when was the last time Roxanne was seen?

Where is Roxanne Shah?

leave a comment »

Roxanne Shah was reported missing this past Monday after her husband received a note from her stating not to worry about her and that she just needed to get away for a few days.  Her van was found Monday night at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore park.  Roxanne hasn’t been heard from since.

Roxanne is a 47 year old, white female, 5′ 5″ tall, 130lbs, and was last seen wearing a green and white winter jacket, dark pants and boots (missing from Indianapolis, IN).  Anyone with any information should call the National Lakeshore’s tipline 1-800-727-5847.

*Note …I have yet to see an article that states when Roxanne was last SEEN.  We know her husband found a note left by her on Monday.  I am really interested in when she was last seen and by whom.
