Michael Mosley Murder Trial

with 2 comments

On the eve of Casey Anthony’s murder trial I am wondering why I  haven’t heard more about our own local murder trail that is currently in process.  Michael Mosley’s murder trial began on May 9, 2011 in Troy, NY.  Sure there’s been coverage on the news and maybe it’s because I don’t pay as close attention to what goes on locally but I don’t get the same sense of presence for this case as Casey’s.  I realize that story of missing Caylee made the National spotlight and that has a lot to do with it but why can’t I watch the Mosley trial online?

There isn’t a lack of story-line with this case.  In 2002 Samuel Holley and Arica Schneider were murdered in their home …sixty two stab wounds in all.  In 2007 Terrence Battiste and Bryan Berry were arrested and were set to go to trial on March 1, 2010.  Before the trial began DNA evidence from the scene surfaced and eventually cleared the men.  This same DNA ended up matching Michael Mosley’s DNA.  This placed Michael at the scene of the crime and when asked he denied having been there.  In addition to the DNA a palm print was found, also belonging to Michael.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I do like a good trial and I’ll be following this one to the end.  I’ll also be listening in to Casey Anthony’s trail for as long as it takes for justice to be served.
